Our Background

We began in January 2007 and continue to meet each Monday night. We hold day-long retreats and special events periodically. The foundation of Knoxville Insight Meditation is taken from the Thai Forest Tradition and the works of western teachers such as: Phillip Moffitt, Joseph Goldstein, Sharon Salzberg, Jack Kornfield, Sylvia Boorstein, Jon Kabat-Kin and Tara Brach.
